The Medway Park Crusaders v University of Birmingham game scheduled for tonight (Saturday 5 December) has ben postponed.  The rescheduled date will be announced soon.

The Crusaders would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to our supporters.

Thank you to everyone who attended the parent’s meeting this weekend.  Hopefully all the players enjoyed the training camp.  We are very excited about the upcoming season.

The coaches have information packages for anyone who hasn’t received one as well as registration forms for the club and England Basketball.  Just to remind you we urgently need the following.

1. 2 passport photos

2. A photocopy of your passport (for players who did not plat national league last season)

3. Registration fee for the season

The Medway Park Crusaders training camp will take place on the 12 and 13 September for all Crusaders players from the Under 14, 16, 18 and Senior Men’s teams.  The camp takes place at Ursuline College in Westgate.  All players should have recieved information on the camp and registration on Saturday.  There is no cost for the camp.

 There will be an important EGM on Saturday at 5:00 where we will go through all the key information for this season.  ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND.

 The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

SATURDAY

9:00-10:30 Under 16

10:30-12:00 Under 18

12:00-1:30 Under 14 and Under 16

1:30-3:00 Men

3:00-6:00 ALL (includes EGM)

SUNDAY

9:00-10:30 Under 18 and Men

10:30-12:00 Under 14

12:00-1:30 Under 18

1:30-3:00 Under 14 and Under 16

3:00-4:30 Men

Brad_dunkThe Medway Park Crusaders Basketball Club are expecting their newly signed Canadian Brad Smith to make a big impact in the England Basketball League. Smith played for the University of Western Ontario Mustangs, where he led them in scoring and was voted a first team All Star in the OUA West Conference last season. (more…)

Kent’s premier basketball club are to relocate to Medway’s new £11m centre of sporting excellence and become Medway Park Crusaders.

The Kent Crusaders, who are currently based in Canterbury, will set up their training base in the new purpose-built hall at the heart of the redevelopment of the Black Lion leisure centre in Gillingham.

Updated. The four Kent Crusaders National League teams held the first joint training camp in club history this weekend. The Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 teams joined the Men’s team for a weekend of both serious basketball, a referees course and lots of fun.

SimonSmallThe Kent Crusaders National League men’s team have signed two import players. From Canada’s Queens University it’s 6’3 guard Simon Mitchell and from Denmark it’s 6’5 forward Soren Sorensen from Aalborg BK.
