Matt Fenton’s comments from game program from canceled game v. Southampton:

Kent Crusaders secured a home semi final draw in the Patrons cup with two excellent performances this weekend.

The first was on Saturday at home v Northampton Neptune’s.  The Crusaders were able to use the whole squad with 10 of the 12 players scoring points.  The games stand out player Mike Webber producing his best performance for 3 seasons with a dominating performance inside and outside the key, ending up with stats of 63% from the field and 100% from outside the arc and 6 rebounds. Other highlights were JP’s facial on the Neptune ’s centre and any other Robbie Parker Catch and shoot 3 pointers

On Sunday the team travelled to Colchester without the team’s top scorer Robbie Parker who was away competing in Charlie Thomas Lookalike competition. In previous seasons missing our lead scorer would have affected the performance but not this season, as Crusaders marched on to a 35 point victory.  Akin Lisk Carew crowning his debut by scoring the team’s 100th point and making 3 from 4 at the line.  I was also great to see James Harris showing us his aggressive inside game to accompany his exceptional outside shooting.

So 3 weeks into the season Crusaders proudly stand 4 and 0 and fans can only be excited about what the season has in store.  A league and cup double???????

Only time will tell.
