The Body and Mind Kent Crusaders will look to secure their first victory in this years Patron’s Cup when they face Plymouth Raiders II this Saturday at the Body and Mind Leisure Centre.

Plymouth Raiders are a young team that Plymouth uses to prepare players for their BBL team so it will be a tough match-up. Plymouth have overcome Northampton in this years Patron’s Cup, but were heavily defeated by Cardiff.

Last season Crusaders faced Plymouth 3 times (Patrons Cup and twice in the league) and were beaten on each occasion by margins of 15, 12 and 6 points. However, Crusaders can name a full strength side this Saturday as they search for revenge. Only Sam Betts is a doubt, he didnt play last weekend and is still coming back from an operation on his knee.

Crusaders sit bottom of their Patrons Cup pool at this stage so this is an important game. They will need to secure a win in this game if they are to stand a chance of making the quarter finals. Head coach Mads Olesen commented ”We’re going out with a point to prove this weekend. We have lost two games in a row now, but the team is starting to understand how hard you have to play to make it in this league, and we’ll do our best to get back into Partons Cup semi final position with a win.”
