Fours seasons in, the Kent Crusaders existence in the Men’s National League has had its highs and its lows. Predominantly however, it must be hailed as an overwhelming success. The team have experienced promotion, the survival of relegation battles, an outing in the Shield Final and are now looking forward to their third successive season in EBL 2. Various players have used Crusaders as a stepping stone to go on to play for professional teams, with the recent inclusion of Ryan Richards (ex-Crusader) in to the Men’s Great Britain Squad being another reason for celebration. Throughout this time the fan base has ebbed and flowed, but building from the base of a core number of loyal supporters the end of the recent season saw an increased crowd in attendance for all home fixtures.
The club is now looking to make steps to the next level. They have recently reorganised their management structure and increased ties with the Junior teams, ensuring that the club is moving forward cohesively towards one goal – establishing the club as one of the premier clubs in the country. Key targets include promotion to EBL 1 and subsequently becoming entrenched within that league, as well as gaining ownership of its own court and the production and nurturing of young talent.

With these goals in mind, amongst many other things it is important for the club to increase the level of financial support received. The Crusaders are pleased to offer a number of opportunities available to potential sponsors, with the main emphasis on providing advertising via a number of routes (programmes, kit, courtside advertising boards, online and in local newspapers), alongside the addition of other benefits (e.g. game tickets). Options to provide a full seasons support start from as little as £100. To that end, the Crusaders would be very pleased to hear from any individuals who know, work for or represent a company which would be interested in hearing more about how both parties can work together to their mutual benefit.
However, with reference to this correspondence, the Club is specifically asking YOU, the Crusaders fans if you have used a TRADESMAN that you would willingly RECOMMEND to a friend, relative, or in this case, the KENT CRUSADERS?
The idea is this – you recommend tradesmen to the Club which you have used and have proven their worth. The Club then approach the tradesmen you recommend (noting who has recommended them) and offer them the chance to purchase a full season of advertising (plus other benefits), starting from £100. In addition to the advertisements, the Recommended Tradesmen section will have an introduction which clearly spells out that all featured tradesmen have been recommended by YOU. It will be both online and in every home game (14+) programme for the 2008-2009 season; the sponsor can be assured of a minimum of 100 copies being distributed at each, produced to a very high quality with colour print throughout. They will also receive a minimum of 10 game tickets to be used throughout the season
To the tradesmen, as mentioned the cost is minimal – as little as £100. From you, the fan’s point of view, the only cost is the time taken to send an email with the name and contact details of your recommended tradesmen (or to ask a parent to do the same).
This scheme is designed to benefit all parties involved. The tradesmen will benefit from excellent value for money advertising, with the added value of personal recommendations from YOU. You, the homeowner will benefit from an excellent reference of tradesmen for any / every occasion. You, us, we, The Club, will prosper from the support that this will help to provide, assisting in the bid to become established as one of the premier clubs in the country.
