The Kent Crusaders’ name has been used in a so called Nigerian/419 scam. Someone is offering £3,500 a month to American players to play for Crusaders, only the players have to pay a large amount to get an information package first. This is not the first time English basketball clubs have been usen in this way, as it has happened to both Hackney and London Leopards.
