Congratulations to a team that put their hearts and souls into the game against Westminster Warriors.

The Kent Crusaders under 16’s National League South II Conference team beat the Westminister Warriors on Saturday. The game started well for Crusaders under 16’s as they showed they really wanted a win under their belts.

A tight first quarter finished 13-12 in Crusaders’ favour. With a fierce defence that not even a bulldozer could break down and an offence that left Warriors in a spin there was no stopping the Crusaders in the second quarter. Crusaders build a 9 point lead, and the 28-19 score showed they meant business,

Third quarter was a bit of a shocker as Warriors tightened their boots and pulled it together to only be behind by 5 with the third quarter ending 40-35.

Crusaders soon put a stop to that in the forth and final quarter, with man of the match Ben Thomas gunning shots like a sniper and Rob Vassie contributing with strong drives to the basket and some great rebounding.

With the clock running down and the game in the bag, Crusaders played one last offence and Ben Thomas finished on a high, scoring a three pointer with so much arch you could build a bridge on it as time ran out.
