Kent Crusaders Girls

A girls should be two things – who and what she wants.

All started with a dream and lots of passion from coach Cristina Stanciuca side, whom is a massive believer girls can be who and what they want and basketball is s sport that could facilitate and inspire them to achieve their ambitious and dreams. Cristina Stanciuca is a passionate coach with experience at GB level and England , leading England as head coach in the last few year at the U15 level. 

Crusaders Basketball club vision is to build a girls program that in the future could conclude to an elite environment as the first Girls basketball Academy in Kent following the footsteps of the boys program who are doing a great job at the elite level. 

The program launched this year with our first ever U12 Girls team and we had a great development platform that would lead next year to our first ever U14 girls team . Additional to developing a player platform we are looking into developing a platform for female coaches and leaders as Katie Day and Ellie Moss both coming from our Partner school Chatham Grammar School for girls. 

We have developed great links with Medway schools that have encourages girls to take part into our multi skills sessions and camps. Schools we have built great links are Brompton Academy ,Chatham Grammar Sch for girls , Rainham Park and Canterbury High School.

Our journey continues and we build on this year’s platform and we keep growing at the grass route level thanks to our Let’s Play Ball! Program that is active into the primary school .

Our aim for the future is to get as many girls involved as we can and make sure they have fun , build great friendships and develop great skills on and off the court .
