CANTERBURY ACADEMY ALUMNUS TOR FREEMAN ADDED TO COACHING STAFF

Kent Crusaders are thrilled to announce that Tor Freeman will be joining the club’s coaching staff for the 2022-23 season.
Tor is an alumni of the Crusaders Canterbury Academy where he played for current Crusaders coaches Adam Davies and Jesse Sazant. Since his time time at Crusaders he has developed significantly as a coach, mainly with the St Alban’s Wolves programme. With Crusaders, Coach Freeman will be involved with Crusaders Let’s Play Ball, CBL and mini baller programmes alongside taking on a key coaching role within the Crusaders girls’ national league teams.
Freeman expressed his happiness at joining, saying “I can’t wait to get started with Crusaders and contribute to the club’s thriving junior programme. The club has grown greatly over the past couple of years, especially with the introduction of the girls’ teams. So, when the opportunity arose to not only contribute to the development of the club but to develop myself as a coach I knew rejoining Crusaders was the right choice for me.”
Crusaders Head of Community, Cristina Stanciuca, had this to add, “We are excited to welcome Tor to the family. He will be a great asset for our programme,  both the grassroots and girls’ side. He is an aspiring coach, with passion and knowledge that will make a huge impact within the club “
