Crusaders Staff Boosted With Ciaran Dunne Joining Us At Northfleet

Kent Crusaders are very pleased to announce the latest addition to their coaching staff, Ciaran Dunne. Ciaran will be joining the staff at Northfleet Technology College to assist with the ABL team as well as head coach the U18 national league team.

Dunne joins us after experiencing a year in India developing the NBA program as a coach. Before that he was in his home country of Ireland where he has been part of the Irish national teams as an assistant coach that included spells with both the U18 and U16 teams. Ciaran also brings experience of running a club and programme, as he has been a big part in the success of his local team UCD Marain where he has coached age all age groups from 11s to senior men.

Head Coach of Nothfleet ABL side, Martin Parry is eager to have him join the growing academy “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ciaran, we were blown away by his enthusiasm and knowledge at the interview stage and can’t wait to get started. Ciaran brings a wealth of experience from both club and national levels in Ireland, which will be invaluable in both the development of the academy at Northfleet and the Crusaders organisation”.

Adam Davies who is in charge of the junior side of the club is also thrilled about having the experience Ciaran brings to the club “It’s great to have someone who will have new ideas and bring a fresh look at what the club can do to keep growing in both players and coaches numbers”

Ciaran will be starting his role in September and had this to say about starting this new chapter in his coaching career “I’m excited to join the Kent Crusaders and Northfleet family. I was so impressed meeting the team in Northfleet, their energy and effort was contagious. I am looking forward to working with them and the rest of the coaching staff. I appreciate the philosophy and the approach to coaching with the club and the academy and I can’t wait to get started.”
