Message from Coach Adam Davies

To All Crusader Players, Parents, Supports and Followers.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope you are well and had the best Christmas possible.

I know 2020 was a year of challenges but I can still think of lots of highlights. The club has continued to grow with the addition of another girls’ team in the national league. The amount of interaction during the first national lockdown on all the YouTube videos and challenges set, plus how many of you attended the zoom ‘Crusaders Chats’ we had with some of our alumni was amazing. Your continued commitment to stay in touch with your teammates and coaches via zoom and especially how we finished the year with an awesome quiz which saw us raise £100 for charity. These are to name a few but I do hope we can make more in 2021.

As you will know we are back into another national lockdown, which means we cannot return to training until it is reviewed, and we move back down to a level where training is permitted for U18s. I know this is hard to take as like me, I’m sure you want to hear that ball bounce again in a sports hall and see the net swish as you hit the perfect shot. However, we will continue to follow the guidance set by the national governing body and do everything we can to stay safe.

The coaches will continue to interact with the teams on a regular basis through the WhatsApp groups and zoom calls. I hope all our players will continue to engage so we are ready when the time comes to get back on the court.

I know being stuck inside and not being able to play the best game in the world can take a toll on people, especially mentally so if anyone is struggling then please get in contact and we can put things in place to support you.

I wish you good health and stay safe. We will be back between the lines soon and I can’t wait to see you.

Coach Adam
