Kent Crusaders Basketball Club

Kent Crusaders are a basketball club based in Gillingham with a pathway from Under 8s right through to elite 16-19 academies. The club has been recognised at the Medway Sport Awards, winning the gold award for Junior Club of the year 2018, based on the quality of the work we do and the number of players we have playing basketball.

The coaches involved are highly qualified, with a wealth of experience from beginner level through to national team and professional coaching.

The philosophy of the club is to teach the game of basketball and through that educate young people on life skills that will help them throughout their journey i.e. hard work, commitment, teamwork, communication, accountability etc.

We run a number of teams and programmes including mini ballers, boys and girls junior national league teams and elite academies.

Players then progress to one of our elite academies. Northfleet Academy competes in the ABL and the national league U18 Conference while Canterbury Academy competes in the EABL and the national league U18 Premier and Men’s leagues.
