As the new season begins, we'd like to ensure that all volunteers have the required safeguarding checks and training in place so that we can continue to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
What are the safeguarding requirements for volunteers?
All volunteers, regardless of the role they carry out or the type of help they provide, are required to complete the following three things:
🏀 Be a Basketball England member
🏀 Hold a valid DBS certificate
🏀 Complete the Basketball England safeguarding course
Please note: if you already have any of these, it will be helpful to have the details and certificate files handy for the next section.
